Alongside the research activities a number of sharing learning activities will take place:
a social networking website to be launched in March 2012
learning events and workshops for projects
policy briefings, seminars and webinars
publications, reports, think pieces
wider dissemination, press and publicity
There will be a strong emphasis on 'formative' evaluation, and findings will be shared on a continuous basis alongside reports for the 26 individual projects and for the programme as a whole at the end of each year. This will ensure that the evaluation is beneficial to the projects, and that the data is used to support local delivery.
The evaluation website will be the focal point for sharing learning for internal and external stakeholders, with regular news updates and good practice. Each project will have an evaluation webpage to showcase their work, and will be supported to update this with a range of evaluation evidence as the programme develops.
In January 2013 we presented to the Big Lottery Fund on the latest progress of the Improving Futures projects. Read about their progress and early impact here
